Welcome to the deskbird developer docs

deskbird offers two ways to connect programmatically. Both are served from https://connect.deskbird.com.

    Public API#

A REST API for building your own integrations, scripts, and data exports. Requests authenticate with a company API key.
Start with our Public API Overview.

    MCP server#

Connects AI assistants like Claude to your deskbird workspace using the Model Context Protocol. Users authenticate with their own deskbird login through OAuth – no API key involved.
Start with our MCP Server Overview.

    Which one do I need?#

If you are writing code that calls deskbird, use the Public API. If you want an AI assistant to answer questions from your live deskbird data, use the MCP server.
